The Results of Rebellion
Bravia - Henry Albright, leader of the defeated Bravian Empire, was put on trial this week. The Jury decided that he was found guilty on all charges. The charges ranged from violation of the Peace and Order Act to the direct violation of burning the lib rary of records. (All records were saved.) He may face convictions of anywhere from a 2,000,000 Freznic fine, a year sentence in jail, and/or death. The final decision will be made when Henry Albright pleads his case or when the Court announces it. Chief Magistrate Mary Dolan has recommended that H. Albright recieve the fine and jail sentence. However, some on the jury desire the death penalty. The Tribune wishes to know what you think would be the perfect punishment for rebellion of this grand scale? Fenia - Good News and Bad News. Which do you wish to hear first? The bad news is that taxes are due on 9606.30. If your taxes are not paid by then, then a late fee will be charged and all business lisences that you hold will be suspended. The good ne ws is that the Government is offering a tax break to all citizens that have resided in Puria, Fenia, and Muria for over 6 months. Please remember that if you have not asked for someone to fill out your tax form for the Income Tax, then you must get the form and/or get a representative that will do it for you. You may wish to have your taxes taken care of by Smith Tax Services Inc. For more information, send email to [email protected] (addressed to the attention of Elizabeth Smith).

Fenia - Over the past months, the army of what was called the Bravian Empire fought against the homeland. The Bravian Empire which was defeated 9604.30 has now been replaced by a different and hostle group which label themselves as the Fighters for Freedom. They have elected as President Henry Albright, former leader of the Bravian Empire as he called it. All this war has led to some financial difficulties. Minister Carabino has been put in charge of relieving the debt of the war. In a statement to the Secfenia Tribune, he said,
"Our military campaigns are running our budgets off the chart. In order to control our finances, we must either increase revenue or decrease military operations. We cannot decrease our military until the Bravians have been brought under control. Therefore, I propose that we increase our revenue. Here is the Financial Department's plan:
[1] Call up the Emergency War Tax powers. These powers give the Financial Department the ability to collect a percentage of monetary or land possessions of any citizen, and regulate the Freznic-Crown monetary ratio.
[2] Using these powers, we are establishing an 8% tax on all income. This will provide the extra money needed to support the war effort.
[3] Using these powers, we are establishing the Food Surplus Act. The Act gives the government the right to confiscate up to 75% of all surplus food grown by a farmer. Surplus food is guaranteed as food not needed by the farmer and his dependents to survive."
We wish him well and we know that the Government is here to help us as it has always been.
