The Ambitious Commoner (Part IV)

Chapter 2

Daniel knocked on Delias door and identified himself, and she told him to come in. Opening the door, he saw her sitting on the bed, dressed only in her bra and panties. He came towards the bed slowly, hesitant and what was about to happen as she beckoned him to come.

Why are you being shy? Delia said.

Are you trying to seduce me? Daniel asked.

Of course. Remember when I promised you that I would show you about love? Delia asked.

Yes, I remember. It was just before we left for winter break, Daniel replied.

This is what I meant. I want to show you the joys of sex, Delia said.

But youre the only girl Ive ever kissed, and Ive never done anything more than lay my hands on your supple breasts, Daniel stammered.

I know, that is why we are going to take it slowly, Delia said, laying Daniel back on the bed and sitting on top of his chest.

How slowly do you mean? Daniel asked.

It might take all night, depends on how long we have until my roommates come home from the party, Delia said.

Oh, okay, Daniel said.

You look so nervous, dear, why dont you calm down? Delia said.

I told you, Ive never done anything like this before. Werent you nervous the first time you had sex? Daniel said.

I was terrified. Then again, the first time I had sex was when some neighborhood kids were holding me down at the age of 10 until they all had sex with me, Delia said. I learned to enjoy it later.

Your first time was a gang rape? Daniel said. Thats horrible.

Yes, it is horrible, but ever since them Ive considered myself, and been treated by others, as damaged goods. You were the first guy Ive ever met who loved me for who I was. I want to show you what a joy sex can be, Delia said sweetly.

I agree that sex can be a joy, from everything I have heard. Do you not know there is a proper time and place for it, in a marriage relationship? Daniel said.

You are so sweet, and so old fashioned, Delia said. That is why I love you so much, you actually love me without wanting to take advantage of me. Its such a rare quality these days.

But you still want to have sex, as I can see by the way you sit on top of me, Daniel said.

Of course I want to be on top of you. That is the way I like it the best. Besides, sex in the missionary position is so boring anyway. I want to start you out on the right foot, ready to try new things in bed, Delia said.

When the time comes to try things in bed, I have no problem with being adventuresome. That time has not come yet, Daniel said.

How can you say that? Delia said.

My love, we are only fourteen years old. There is no way we should be trying out sex until we are ready and have already committed to a lifelong marital relationship, Daniel said.

So youre saying we should marry just so we can have sex? I dont understand what youre saying, Delia said.

No, thats not what Im saying. We shouldnt marry just to have sex, but we should go into marriage, one we have thought out as both a love match as well as a marriage of suitable personalities and lifestyles, and then present ourselves as pure as possible to each other for the first time on our wedding night, Daniel said.

What youre saying is that we should try to control our sexual urges until we are married? Delia asked somewhat incredulously.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying, Daniel said, somewhat exasperated.

I have never heard a guy tell me that before when I was lying on top of him wanting to have sex. I can tell that you want me, but your self control is the strongest I have ever seen. Why dont you just do what you want to do? Delia said.

Because it isnt right. As much as I want to make love with you, this isnt the proper time for it. I really love you, but until we get married I dont want to be saddled with the sin of having had sex prematurely, Daniel said.

And youre really set on this? Delia said, kissing him.

Yes, my dear, Im set on this, Daniel said.

And would you consider making out wrong as well? Delia said.

Yeah, it would be wrong, he says, sighing, since I dont know if I could handle myself if we made out.

Youre an honest man, and far too noble for your own good, Delia said. Im not going to give up on you.

I know, my love, I know, Daniel replied. Just then he and Delia looked to see the door open.

What are you two doing here, Wilfred said.

Do you really want to know? Daniel asked.

Yes, are you two trying to have sex? Wilfred asked.

Well, Im trying to seduce him, but hes been resisting so far. He says it would be wrong for him to have sex with me unless we were married, Delia said.

Well, good for him. Too bad the same cant be said for you, Wilfred said.

I am a fallen young woman. It is too late for me to be innocent, Delia said.

It is never too late, my love. You cant change the past, but if you act better in the future you can regain at least some of what you have lost, Daniel said.

I never thought of it that way, Delia said. I always thought what was lost can never be recovered at all.

My fellow Bravian is right, Wilfred said. You cant be completely pure, but you can be pretty pure if you start now. You can have a loving and affectionate relationship that does not even tease about sex, so you can regain a lot of your innocence back. After all, the same qualities that would make Daniel seem so sweet to you are those that would be ruined if you got sexually active now. He would be changed, and would be less pure and less innocent, which is not what you want, right?

I never thought of that, too, Delia said. She got up off of him and laid down beside him. Im sorry for trying to take advantage of you.

Its alright. I understand. I love you, and I know you love me. Love does not always mean sex, my dear. We can build the relationship we have through love that is pure, and so if we get to the point where we would consider marriage, we would know we have saved ourselves for each other, Daniel said.

You are so romantic, without trying to seduce me like others have done, Delia said.

Delia, you have a good boyfriend there. Make sure you appreciate him. Not many girls get the chance to have a sweet boyfriend like that. And because they do not often appreciate nice guys, guys are not often nice, Wilfred said.

Ill appreciate him for sure. He has given me a new hope of love, Delia said.

Well, I am glad you two are not like the partygoers I just saw, Wilfred said.

What do you mean? Daniel said. You mean that keg party that Bill and Tom didnt keep as well hidden as they would have liked?

Yeah, that one, Wilfred said.

What happened? Delia asked.

Well, Bill and Tom were, last I saw, being dragged by a detachment of Imperial Guard troops, Wilfred said.

Guess theyre in big trouble, Delia said.

Yeah, but I would suggest that Daniel get to his room, because Natonito is in a bad mood right now, and he wouldnt be happy about seeing you two here together, Wilfred said.

Alright, my love, I will see you tomorrow, Daniel said, giving Delia a sweet kiss.

See you tomorrow then, hun, Delia said, giving Daniel a sweet kiss in return. Daniel got up from the bed, waved at Delia, and walked out.

Hes such a wonderful guy. I wonder what I did right somewhere to deserve the love of someone so sweet, Delia said.

You know, he probably wonders the same thing you do, Wilfred said.

Why do you say that? Delia said.

He never knew love before you, either, Wilfred said. Just like I didnt know love before meeting the lovely young woman who is my wife.

Aw, how sweet, Delia said. Glad you found love.

I am glad too. Just be wise and careful, Delia. Life is too short to spend it making mistakes all of the time, Wilfred said. I have made far too many myself, and I figure that you have as well.

Yes, I have. I guess I should try to go to sleep now, it being so late, Delia said. You have a good night yourself. See you in seminary.

See you tomorrow morning, Wilfred said, leaving.

After he left, she said. I wish I had known more Bravians when I was young. The ones here are some of the sweetest people I have ever met.
