New Day Deep black covering everywhere, The stars glowing as the only light. The nightbirds nestling down to sleep As the darkness, black and deep, Slowly lightens with the night-- The day takes seat in high chair. The sky lightens to gray And the world takes shape. All around the creatures stir And they stop to praise great her-- The sun, raising its cape, As the world begins a new day. [ Go Back ] |
