Chapter 1
A man walked into the Imperial Palace and into the throne room. "Robert Russ III, I beseech you to stop this reign of terror now by the order of the Secfenia Central Guard," the man said. The Emperor laughed and asked, "Who sent you to tell me this joke?" The man stood tall and replied, "I am a representative of the great Fue de Joie, General in the Secfenia Central Guard."
"So, I would assume then that the great bonfire has arrived in Fenia to tell us all about how we should surrender to the Central Guard, eh," the Emperor said mockingly. "You do have the option of stepping down and releasing your hold on the nation. After all, we do have a constitution that should be in effect instead of what you have going on," the man commented boldly.
"Wow... a backbone... If I wasn't in a good mood, I'd kill you on the spot for your insolence, but you are more valuable alive. You realize what my answer is going to be to your request, right," the Emperor inquired. The man nodded. "Then you have no need to be in my presense any more. Leave now or my mood may change to the point that you don't have to worry about telling him," the Emperor said with a minor glare.
The man took the not so subtle hint and left. As soon as he did, the Emperor looked towards Robert and told him, "Go follow him. I want to know where he is going. I want you to find out where Fue is at. Then we can talk to him. You seem to know the city well. Use it to your advantage and find out where he's at." Robert nodded towards him and the directrix. "At once," Robert said knowing his father's mood.
Leaving the palace, he smelled the fresh air. He always loved being able to be in the town. "Must keep mind on track. I need to follow this guy," Robert told himself. Dodging through the town by shops and stores, he followed without being noticed. Traveling towards the pub, Robert smiled. "Well, always a good excuse... mixing business and pleasure," he told himself.
Entering the pub, he grinned and sat down at the table at the other side of the bar. He watched the man sit down at a table with another man. The other man looked familiar. "Wasn't he the one that was a little bit too drunk the other day," Robert asked himself. Looking closer, he was positive that he was.
He saw April approaching. "Hi, how are you," April asked him. "Not too bad. Do you know who that person is over there, hun," he inquired motioning towards the two men. "That one guy over there is Fue de Joie. He's part of the Secfenia Central Guard. Be careful around him. He has a tendancy to jump to conclusions and he has a bad temper," April informed him. "Thanks. How has your day been," Robert asked her. "Actually, a little frustrating, but okay. I'll tell you more later," she said with a wink. "Promise," he said teasing her a little. She smiled and walked away.
"Excellent, I guess I've done my job. I guess I'll have to let him know that I've found him. Maybe I can get word to him about this so they can get free and my father can get happy. My life is so fun at times. If only they knew," he told himself opening his journal. He began to write and think of the day.
