A Happy Poem

She told me to write a happy poem
A happy poem?
What is a happy poem?
How does it rhyme?
And how do I make it chime?
It must be happy and giddy
Oh so joyous and pretty!
Should it be about you
or about me?
The flowers and the bee?
To me, a happy poem is all around
For great beauty runs abound.
Through all God's earth we do see
Such beauty and tranquility.
but above else I must say
a happy poem is you today.
