Her Pain
By Jon Westrick (October 2002)

All of that pain
All of that hurt
No one can tell
How much she can hurt.
All of the pain
From troubles gone by
Still stinging her heart
Still stinging her mind
But the troubles she faced
Are now overcome
A brand new life
For her has begun
She is home again
And safe in her place
She should feel no guilt
Or be pitied or disgraced
For one day soon
Someone new will be there
Someone special
Someone who will care
Then she'll be healed
In mind and in heart
And finally realize the joy
She longed for at the start
The hurts of the past
Will forever be gone
And her happiness
Will be eternally long
