Chapter 4
In the city of South Fenia, a huge statue was covered with a huge black viel. The crowds around the statue and the platform were huge. Many an important person was there. All the people knew today would be a special day for the Empire. Imperial Senator Oen Bravia walked onto the platform and attempted to quiet the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, today is a historical day for the Secfenia Star Empire. Today is a day that we will look back on and remember for a long time. To unviel the statue, I present the Emperor of the Secfenia Start Empire, Robert Lylles et Russ III," he told the crowd.
The crowd began to applaud. The Empire's anthem was played and the Emperor walked up to the platform and smiled. "Today is a good day to unviel this statue. It has been a good few months. The nations of Secfenia and Bravia put aside their difference and decided to join arms together. Today, I honor a man that has helped our Empire to survive. Today, I honor a man who shall be by my side throughout my days. Today, I honor a man who shall be by every citizen's side throughout their life. Today, Natonito Bravia Et Albright II shall be recognized," the Emperor said. A rush of applause came pouring through.
The Emperor smiled and pulled the rope to unviel the statue. The Statue of Natonito gleamed brightly. The people in attendance let out a collective astonishment over how beautiful the statue was. As the base of the statue there was a plague and a bigger gold sign. The sign read "The Age of Glory".
The Emperor grinned. "The Directrix was unavailable to come today, but I know he will be proud. We are in an age of glory. We are in a time of growth. We shall continue to grow as a nation. We shall outshine and out live out enemies," the Emperor said. He took a glass of Secfenia Ale and lifted up in the air. "To the age of Glory," he said. The crowd lifted their glasses and said, "To the age of Glory." The Emperor smiled and walked off the platform.
The Imperial Senator took the platform and told the people to enjoy the banquet. The people jumped at the free food offer. Anyone who was anyone was going to be at the banquet. It gave people an opportunity that most didn't get any other time. They could rub elbows with some of the most elite members of the Empire. It wasn't everyday that there were banquests for everyone who attended. It wasn't everyday that such fine music and wine flowed through the streets. Celebration was to be done to the max. That was the order from the Emperor and no one would disobey today. After all, how many people don't want free food and wine?
The Imperial Senator went over to the Emperor. "Your Majesty, may I have a moment with you," the Senator asked. The Emperor nodded. "Your Majesty, I wanted to express the honor that I have had in representing the Bravian Viceroyalty. I also wanted to say I am honored to be a part of the Age of Glory," the Senator said. The Emperor nodded. "It has just begun," the Emperor commented as he walked away. The Senator blinked and walked towards the food.
Robert Russ IV smiled and watched the two go in different directions. He opened the book he was carrying and started to write a little in it. He looked around and ducked into a quiet place. He sat down and wrote down a number of things. A young lady approached him. "You need anything," she asked. "No thank you," he responded. "You sure, Robby," she asked. He smiled and said, "Yep." She brought him a glass of water and wine mixed. She sat next to him.
"Are you ready for the age of glory," she asked him. He looked up into her beautiful eyes and wondered what she meant by that. "More than some people realize," he responded with a smile. The lady smiled and laughed. "I have to go, but I wanted to say 'Hi' before I did," she said. "Okay, take care," he told her. "I will... you too," she said. She gave him a kiss on the cheek right befoe she left the room. "Maybe there is something to this age of glory after all," he said with a grin.
