Chapter 2

April sat up on her bed and pondered who it could have been that went with Chris. "There's only one way to find out," she commented outloud. She stood up and walked out her bedroom door. Closing it quietly, she straightened out her clothes. Walking to the door that led to the pub, her curiousity teased her mind.

Stepping out into the bar, she quickl;y spotted Chris sitting at a table. Acress him in a cloak and hood was a man. She couldn't see his face, but something looked very familiar. Something in his nature, his posture just seemed so familiar. She couldn't pinpoint it, but she just knew she knew him.

She approached the table and sat down. "Good day, Chris," she said nodding towards him. "Good day," Chris said nodding towards her. "Good day, traveler," April said nodding towards the man. The man nodded in her direction.

Her heart began to point. Something about him just made her heart jump in joy. Something made her just feel so much. A smile came across her face. her heart was glowing with the warmth of the moment.

"So, traveler, how far away have you come to teach us," she inquired. The man thought for a second and was trying to find a non-verbal way of communicating the thought. She didn't realize that she wasn't the only one whose heart was beating quickly. He felt something deep inside stir. He felt feelings of passion, love, and sadness bubble up to the surface.

"By the power of the mages, I know I know her. I know I feel something strong for her. I know I care for her, but what can I say? Does she feel that way? Who knows if it's one sided? Does she have a significant other," he asked himself.

The man stretched out his hands to display the distance as long. "So, a very long way," Chris translated. The man nodded. April looked at him and exmined him. It was then out of the corner of her eyes she noticed something shiny on his hand. She looked closer at it. It seemed to gleam extra for her.

Seeing it, her face completely changed. Feelings poured through her. "Where did you get that ring," April asked the man. The man held it out for her to see. "Where did you get that ring," she repeated. "I fount it in the garden," the man whispered feeling more relaxed and comfortable.

April grabbed his hand and held it. The man did not recoil as he thought he was going to do. "Robert, is that you," she asked with tears in her eyes. A feeling of warmth, a feeling of belonging filled the man. "Alas, I don't know my name, but I know you," he stated. April squeezed his hand.

"take off the hood," she requested. Slowly, he took off his hood. April's face lit up. Leaping from the table, she hugged him. he felt surprised by the move, but there was no complaint. Feeling her warmth, feeling her close, his mind jumped with joy. "This is where you belong," his heart yelled out.

He held her. Closing his eyes, his mind cleared. Confusion, doubts, and fears fled to their hiding holes. Nothing was on his mind except the incredible feeling of being there with her. So many question had just been answered. He could feel the feelings that had been locked inside her. He could feel her longing for him. He could feel her love.

A tear dripped from her eyes and ran across their face. It was soon followed by a party of tears. They were welcoming him home. She was so happy to have him back. He wasn't a memory any more. He was there once again and nothing could take this moment from her.

This was a new chaper. New memories were to be added. It was now a time of reopening memories from the past. It was now a time to live and form new memories. Let the past memories come alive in the present!
